Abstract

Sultan Syarif Kasim can be said to be an educator because during his life he established many schools, both girls' schools and boys' schools during his reign. Thus, what was carried out by Sultan Syarif Kasim II in the field of education is very relevant to today's educational needs. This article aims to analyze the concept of education management of Sultan Syarif Kasim II in developing various schools. The author uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The research process carried out by the author is to collect research, read literature, small notes, process the reading results into research data. After carrying out the analysis, the results were obtained, including: Sultan Syarif Kasim II is one of the influential people in Indonesian history, especially in the fields of education and culture. There are several important concepts that reflect Sultan Syarif Kasim II's views and approach to education management: Islamic value-based education, Integration between religious education and general education, Empowerment through Education, Education as a tool of the struggle for independence, Modernization of Education and Leadership and Education governance.
