Archiving Policy
"Ensuring long-term digital preservation and permanent accessibility of scholarly research for future generations."
Edu Global: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam recognizes the importance of preserving published research in perpetuity. We employ a robust archiving strategy to safeguard against data loss, ensuring that every article remains discoverable and accessible even in the event of technical failure or journal cessation.
I. Preservation Infrastructure
LOCKSS & CLOCKSS Participation
The journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This allows libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
National & Institutional Repositories
In compliance with statutory requirements, all published content is deposited into National Repositories and official scholarly networks. Authors are also encouraged to self-archive their work in Institutional Repositories to maximize global dissemination and redundancy.
Data Integrity & Backup
Automated daily backups are performed on local and cloud servers to ensure content integrity and prevent data loss from cyber threats or hardware failures.
Metadata Preservation
Crucial metadata—including DOIs (Crossref), ORCID iDs, and indexing tags—is synced with external registries to maintain discoverability in perpetuity.
Commitment to Open Access
Immediate and free access to all research articles upon publication.
Archival records include retraction notices to maintain scholarly truth.
