AI Policy

Establishing the ethical boundaries for artificial intelligence in Islamic Education research and scholarly synthesis.

01. Non-Authorship Status

Generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) do not meet the criteria for authorship. They lack the legal standing to take responsibility for the work, cannot hold copyright, and cannot be held ethically accountable for findings. Under no circumstances shall AI be listed as an author or co-author.

The human author remains 100% responsible for the accuracy of every citation, the interpretation of data, and the prevention of AI-generated "hallucinations."

Permitted Assistance

  • Polishing grammar and Improving readability.
  • Structural editing and manuscript formatting.
  • Summarizing existing literature (Internal drafting only).
  • Generating code for complex data visualization.

Strictly Prohibited

  • AI interpretation of Sacred Texts (Quran/Hadith).
  • Direct generation of original research content.
  • Fabrication of interviews or primary data points.
  • Uploading unpublished manuscripts for peer review analysis.

Formal Disclosure Protocol

Authors must declare the use of AI in a dedicated statement within the Acknowledgments section. This statement must include the name of the tool, the version used, and a precise description of which parts of the manuscript were assisted.

Sanctions & Monitoring

Edu Global utilizes proprietary AI-detection algorithms. Undisclosed use of synthetic content is considered Scientific Misconduct. Submissions found to have hidden AI authorship will be summarily rejected, and the author's institution will be formally notified of the ethical breach.
